My Dream Journey

Dreams have always been an important part of my inner life, my healing and my spiritual evolution.

When I was a child I was bothered by dreams and this was the beginning. While working on my masters in Psychology, a dream helped me become aware of a forgotten trauma from my childhood. When our twin sons were 6 years old, both began having nightmares. My dream research gave me the idea to suggest that they invite a superhero to join them in their dreams to battle against the monsters. Each morning we brainstormed responses to their dreams and their nightmares ended in a couple of weeks. For years, a counselor friend and I worked our dreams together. Then in 2009, we both joined an archetypal dreamwork group online. In addition to 260+ individual sessions, I attended many week-long retreats where we enacted each other’s dreams in a transformative way.

Nothing can compare to finally finding and integrating a core exiled part of ourselves. My Breakthrough poem above attempts to express my journey and the continuing satisfaction of finally feeling at home within myself.

In 2017, I joined a closed circle of dreamers led by Bill St. Cyr, co-founder of Students of the Dream. I also joined his Students of the Dream Practitioner’s group. My dreams and my people have helped me find many unconscious parts of myself and welcome them into consciousness and wellbeing. I am so grateful for the collective healing space held by both of my dream groups. I also feel deep gratitude for the felt support of the archetypes who show up in my dreams to bring me closer to my soul self. 
​I so appreciate the wisdom of the dream, and I love helping others as a way of giving back. Whenever I am working with dreams, mine or others, I feel I'm on purpose; as if all of the trainings and professional experiences listed here were just preparation for this work. ​
